AMD Berlin - Graduate Fashion Show - VIEW.18

Kaum ist die Fashion Week 2018 im Januar beendet, startet die Graduate Fashion Show der Akademie für Mode und Design VIEW.18 am 18.02.2018 dieses mal im WECC (Westhafen Event & Convention Center).

Wie immer war ich sehr gespannt auf innovative, neue Kollektionen der Absolventen der Studienrichtung Mode-Design und die Umsetzung auf dem Runway. Für mich immer wieder ein Highlight.

Die Modedesigner (B.A.) präsentieren ihre Kollektion vor einer ausgewählten Jury. In der diesjährigen Show bestand sie aus: Claudia Hofmann (Fashion Council Germany), Leyla Piedayech (Lala Berlin) und Joachim Baldauf (Modefotograf).

As always, I was very much looking forward to innovative, new collections of graduates in the field of fashion design and their implementation on the catwalk. This is always a highlight for me.
The fashion designers present their collection in front of a selected jury. This year`s jury consisted of: Claudia Hofmann (fashion council germany), Leyla Piedayech (Lala Berlin) and Joachim Baldauf (fashion photographer).

Maria Presser - The Bonnie Situation

Das Signaturdesign von Fashion-Designerin Maria Presser gewann den diesjährigen AMD Fashion Award. Es zeigte sich erneut, dass Männer offen und experimentell zur Mode stehen.

// The signatur design of the fashion designer Maria Presser won this year`s AMD award. It showed again that men are open and experimental to fashion.

Die Kollektion "The Bonnie Situation" erinnert an die gleichnamige Situation des Films Pulp Fiction. Zufällige Kleidungskompositionen spiegeln für mich einerseits die hastig angezogene Kleidung von Jimmie wider und kommen andererseits berlintypisch lässig daher. Ich bin gespannt, welche Inspirationen Maria in weiteren Projekten umsetzen wird.
// The collection "The Bonnie Situation" reminds me of the correspondent situation of the film Pulp Fiction. Random garment compositions reflect the hastily dressed clothes of the movie phase. On the other hand, her collection draws a typical Berlin image. I`m curious to see which inspirations Maria will realize in further projects.

Elisabeth und Isabell Begschanow - Das Leben im Überfluss

Sie bildeten mit Ihrer Kollektion das Maximal-Prinzip ab. Üppige Stoffauswahl verbunden mit Überlänge und einen unkompliziert konzipierten Layering Look zeugen von Opulenz und eben dem Überfluss.

//They form the maximum principle with their collection. Lush fabric selections combined with excess length and a straightforward layering look testify to opulence and abundance.

Jana Höreth - Al Halqa

Gute Laune garantiert mit der Kollektion von Jana Höreth. Vibrierende Farbtöne und differenzierte Strukturen stimmen einen auf den Frühling und Sommer, einfach auf good Vibatrions. Für mich erzählt diese Kollektion das bunte Leben in Marokko, transformiert in die heutige Zeit. Ich möchte auf der Stelle Urlaub buchen oder komplett in die Farben Magenta und Neongelb eintauchen :-)

// Good mood guaranteed with the collection of Jana Höreth. Vibrant tones and differentiated structures make the spring and summer a good time. For me, this collection tells of colorful life in Morocco transformed into today`s time. I would like to book holidays immediately or completely immerse in the colors magenta und neon yellow :-)
